In Memoriam — Elise R. Owens (1923-2011)

Elise R. Owens of Hatboro passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2011. She was 87.

In Memoriam
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Owens with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Elise was born in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late William and Ana Mae (Maag) Rodham.

Elise was a lifetime member of the Village Players of Hatboro, a member of the Crooked Billet Women’s Club and Gardeners of Crooked Billet. Elise was also a longtime member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Elise is survived by four children, Joseph W. Owens of Lansdale, Kenneth A. Owens and his wife, Lynne of Richboro, Denise L. Willoth and her husband, Scott, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Lois A. Owens and her fiancé, Pete Helm, of Hatfield; seven grandchildren, Tara and her husband, Joe, Ryan, Kelly, Alyssa and her fiancé, Nicholas, Nicole, Christopher and his wife, Jess, and Elizabeth and her husband, Jamie; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madelynn, Courtney and Lily; a sister, Marilyn Collins; and a brother-in-law, Vincent Owens.

In addition to her husband and parents, Elise was preceded in death by a brother, William Rodham and a great-grandchild, Aubriella Rose Souder.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 505 N. York Road, Hatboro. Her interment will be held privately.
