Special Presentation of Trifles by Susan Glaspell
Join us next Wednesday, April 20th, when we will hold our monthly General Meeting which is open to the public and is an excellent time to come talk to the right people if you’re interested in getting involved with the theater or just learning more about it. After the meeting is adjourned, Georgina Bard will direct Susan Glaspell’s one-act play entitled “Trifles.”
The General Meeting starts at 7:30pm. The play will start at approximately 8pm. This presentation is FREE to the public.
More information about Trifles:
The author of the play, written in 1916, was a colleague of Eugene O’Neill’s with the Provincetown Players in Massachusetts.
The setting is 1916 – an empty farmhouse in a small Iowa town. The county attorney and the local sheriff come to investigate the recent murder of Mr. Wright, the owner of the home. They are accompanied by the sherriff’s wife and two neighbors. Mrs. Wright is being held in the local jail as a suspect. But did she do it?
