Auditions For “Four Weddings and An Elvis”
“Four Weddings and An Elvis,” by local playwright Nancy Frick, takes place in a tacky wedding chapel in Las Vegas. The show consists of four different weddings. Each couple is getting married for all sorts of crazy reasons. Each ceremony is one act of the play with most of the characters returning for the final wedding.
The auditions are open to anyone. No experience is needed. In fact, first timers are encouraged to try out for the show. Many of our productions feature actors in their debut performances. If you’re looking for a place to get your foot in the door for some theater experience, this is the place.
Mark your calendars, auditions will be held:
Sunday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m.
Monday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m.
The following folks are needed:
- 9 males between ages 25 – 70
- 4 females between ages 20 – 55
- There is also one very small role with a limited amount of dialogue. This role can be either gender. This is perfect for someone just starting out.
PLEASE! NO ELVIS IMPERSONATORS!!!
No monologues. No experience needed. First time actors are warmly welcome. Production runs three weekends in January 2012. Auditions will be a cold read from the script. Rehearsals will begin in December.
If you are looking to get experience in other areas of theater: set construction, lights and sounds, props, make-up, etc., all volunteers are welcome. The best part is that no prior experience is needed! You’ll get hands on training.
