In The Wings: She Kills Monsters (Summer Show)

A summer show, you say?

Yes, the Village Players of Hatboro will be adding to your summer fun with their action-packed production of “She Kill Monsters” by Qui Nguyen. She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed young playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. Girls kicking butt, zombies, fairies, swordfights, dungeons and dragons… what more can you ask for?

For added fun, The Village Players of Hatboro invites you to dress in costume if you wish. Wear your best Renaissance Faire garb; zombies, wizards, wenches, peasants, ogres, fairies, elves, etc. are also welcome at our theater! Knights are welcome as well, but all swords (and other medieval weaponry) must be left at home.

One word of warning: the summer show is completely uncensored, so you’ll want to leave the little ones at home; this show is for mature audiences only!
