Auditions for “In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People (That Should Be Shot)”

cover-image1Imagine Christmas dinner with your family. It can certainly be hectic. When your extended family shows up, it gets worse. Add in your nosy next door neighbors, and it’s a nightmare. When two men who just robbed a liquor store show up, consider it a blessing – they probably brought some vodka!

In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People (That Should Be Shot) has a lot of words in the title. Likewise, it has a lot of cast members. Which means WE NEED LOTS OF PEOPLE TO AUDITION! There are plenty of opportunities in this comedy and several of these roles are very small and involve less dialogue or rehearsal time so they are ideal for first-timers. Here are the details:

AUDITION DATES:

  • Sunday, October 5th – 7:00 p.m.
  • Monday, October 6th – 7:30 p.m.

We are seeking:

  • 1 male, age 17–21
  • 3 females, age 17–21
  • 4 males, age 30-50
  • 3 females, age 30–45
  • 2 females, age 35–60
  • 1 male, age 40–60
  • 1 male, 20-55

Show dates are January (2014) 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24. All actors who are cast must be available for all show dates, as well as tech week (Sunday, January 4 through Wednesday, January 7th).

CREW MEMBERS & NEWBIES:
Audition nights are a perfect time to come out, meet the director, and express your interest in helping out backstage, be it in the role of a stage manager, lights & sound operator, concessions, or whatever else you might like to do.

They’re also GREAT for first-timers to come out and observe how things are done, maybe express interest in being a helper, or read for a part! We almost always cast at least one person who’s never been on stage before. You never know what can happen!
