In The Wings: No Sex Please, We’re British!
Announcing the Village Players of Hatboro’s 68th season opener, No Sex Please, We’re British by Alistair Foot and Anthony Marriott!
A young bride who lives above a bank with her husband, the assistant manager, innocently sends a mail order off for some Scandinavian glassware. What comes back is Scandinavian pornography. The show revolves around what is to be done with the veritable floods of illicit materials, photographs, books, films, and eventually girls, that threaten to engulf this happy couple. The matter is considerably complicated by the man’s mother, his boss, a visiting bank inspector, a police superintendent, and a muddled friend who does everything wrong in his reluctant efforts to set everything right, all of which works up to a hilarious ending.
We would love for you to see this hilarious comedy while enjoying our completely renovated auditorium, which now features more comfortable seats, re-arranged to provide better sight-lines for all patrons.
The show will run for three weekends beginning October 2nd and will include two Sunday matinees. Tickets are $15. Season tickets are also available which get you 4 shows for the price of 3! For purchasing options, please see our Box Office page.
No Sex Please, We’re British will be directed by Ashley Lora-Lee and assistant directed by Gina Lutz, with Keith Maliszewski producing.
